I hope that your year has begun well and that good things are headed your way in 2012. I am writing with some exciting news about a Pro-Equality Festival this April in Los Angeles. I am currently in communication with others in LA who are well connected and this should be the first event in the US to be confirmed as part of the Give ‘em Hope International Arts Festival.
I hope that we can now convince you to work in partnership on this initiative and to have the LA event as our flagship US show. This is where I get to the point and this is where you come in; I am crossing everything crossable in the hope that you’ll want to participate in some way. It is also my desire to support you and the charities and organisations that you value. The aim of this event is to raise awareness of local and or national charity organisations and to communicate a message of social equality and a commitment to community cohesion. The theme is, Tackling the “isms” Creatively” so all participants should be encouraged to offer music and artistic work which comments upon sexism, racism, disablism, ageism, homophobia and transphobia or any other area not listed here where people may experience prejudice, bullying or limiting labeling. Best idea is for us to talk via skype so that I can explain more fully the concept of the initiative. Please get in touch. Your involvement would be incredibly valuable; making this an event to remember. There we can discuss: 1. Charity organisations the event could promote and support 2. Your vision for the event 3.
