What an excellent suggestion by my friend Joe.
“Taking sides in the Starbucks vs. “The Donald” flap is like trying to takes sides in an evil galactic Empire vs. Ming the Merciless cage match. How bout we ignore both and hit an independent coffee shop?
Who’s in?”
Let’s take it a step further and start (or continue) supporting local businesses.
Why are we filling the pockets of the Big Business CEOs when spending our time and money elsewhere, where our cash will go to paying essential household bills, to sending their children to a range of enriching activities, or just to feeding their pet dog; who cares what they spend it on so long as we engage with our local business owners and actively retain and even revitalise our communities?
Just a thought.
As Joe said, “Who’s in?!”
