~Hearth and Home~ Rachel Wolff – Rededicated to David Watters -Never Blend In – Give ’em Hope 2016

Thank you Rachel Wolff, for starting my day with such a precious and heart-warming gift.

How wonderful to begin my day knowing that I am in someone else’s thoughts.

I woke to find a beautiful poetic gift and I am, for once, lost for words. What an unexpected and overwhelmingly joyful surprise.

I seriously can’t tell you what it means to have such a wonderful friend as Rachel; she is a rare and valued friend; an equality advocate and altruistic ally to the LGBTQI population and beyond.
“Thank you” doesn’t sum it up.

A home is where we live our intimate

Lives: It’s a bonding place between

Two or more
It’s more than nooks and crannies

And closets and drawers. It’s

More than a place to lie our

Head and place our stuff

And clutter
A home is a sanctuary- with a

Fire in the hearth radiating

Warmth and light
A home is a cheerful place

Filled with family and

Friends and games

And jokes and

Laughter
It is a place of security – a place

Of trust and respect: It is a

Place to hug and dance:

A place to love and

Kiss and laugh_

To cry and

Mourn
The home is a place of peace

A quiet retreat: The hearth

The center point – that

Welcoming place we

Yearn for at the end

Of a day or a

Journey
Hearth and Home

Dedicated to ‘Eric and Nick’ and

All same gender couples who have adopted

Children or who desire to make a ‘home’ for

Children – the Let’s Reach 1 Million People Campaign
