#LAZARUS: Life, Loneliness, Humanity, Otherness and Hope.

Lazarus was incredible – exactly as I’d expected. Totally immersive, wonderfully performed by all musicians and actors. Staged so cleverly, using advanced sound and vision technology with  powerful effect.

Full of symbolism and meaning; intricate layers of commentary on life, loneliness, humanity, otherness and hope.

Michael C Hall is as perfect for the role as anyone could be. Vocally and dramatically strong throughout, capturing the character and portraying every subtlety so adeptly.

@SOPHIANNECARUSO gave a mature, measured and overall outstanding performance!  She has a truly superb vocal range, clear tone, rich, warm, emotive timbre and a secure technique which promises a long and distinguished career 👌🏼across many genres.

All performers worked solidly as a tight and skilled ensemble to present what I’d call a very new form of theatre.

If it hadn’t been for the man tapping his plastic cup and pressing his knees on the back of my chair or the girl beside me who kept singing along, flicking her hair and leaning in front of me to see better or having a full blown conversation with her boyfriend, I’d say it was a perfect evening.

I may have to go and see it again…and again. I honestly felt transported and entirely blessed to witness this work of perfect theatre by the incomparable David Bowie.
