I have signed this petition because it is important for us to speak up when we see such inhumanity towards others.

We don’t have to be directly affected to care and our compassion and empathy should guide us toward standing up and speaking out for those who are being mistreated, abused and victimised in our world.

This is not a gay rights issue, this is an issue that should anger and galvanise all fair-minded people. We cannot sit back, in good conscience, and do nothing.

We have to give a voice to those who are silenced and give hope to those who feel that theirs is lost.
